छठ पूजा — म्हत्व
छठ पूजा — बिहार, झारखंड, पूर्वांचळ आनी मधेसाचो सगळ्यांत पवित्र उत्सव. कार्तिक शुक्ल षष्ठीक चार दीसांचें कडक व्रत. भक्त ३६ वरां निर्जळ उपास करून न्हंय वा तळयांच्या उदकांत उबे रावन अस्तंगत आनी उदयोन्मुख सूर्याक अर्ध्य अर्पतात. छठी मय्या (सूर्याची भयण वा शक्ती) पूजा. ठेकूआ, खजूर — विशेष प्रसाद.
छठ पूजा — पुराणकथा
According to tradition, Chhath is linked to the Ramayana—Sita observed the vrat in the ashram of Sage Valmiki. The Mahabharata also mentions Kunti and Draupadi worshipping the Sun. Chhathi Maiya is considered the consort of Surya and the protector of children.
